No More Mom Jean Bras: a review of the Bravado Bliss.

I'm a practical person, often to a fault. This plays a significant role in my selection of what I wear, and undergarments are no exception. No scratchy lace or crevice digging thongs for me.  Now I'm also a nursing mother, and my field of bra possibilities has shrunk even further. I refuse to wear an uncomfortable bra! I just won't do it. And after wearing comfortable nursing bras that let my girls droop like half filled water balloons, I'm starting to feel even less sexy than my previous frumpy low. You know that Saturday Night Live skit about mom jeans. (If you don't, then go to youtube right now. I'll wait.) There's a slogan at the end: "Because you're not a woman any more ... you're a mom." Well I'm sick of mom jean bras!

Behold: the Bravado Bliss! This thing truly is apply named. It is like my boobs are floating on clouds. I think they've almost forgiven me for pumping 5 times a day and letting my son use them as boobie boxing bags. The Bliss is a satin soft cup with "support channels" instead of underwires. Very effective and yet very comfortable. Oh yeah, I'm talking having cake and eating it too. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about this bra is the price tag. At around 50 bucks, this is by far the most expensive bra I've ever had. That means that I only have one, and it gets washed ALOT. So far it's held up like a champ, even with a run through the dryer now and then.

Bravo to Bravado for making such a fine product!

Hi Everyone! (and right now that's just me)

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Hippie Hick Mom, a working mom of 5 month old little Happy Boy. I subscribe to the following parenting ings: breastfeeding, cosleeping, babywearing, vaccinating, cloth diapering, and hopefully baby led weaning. As you can see, I'm a follower of the attachment parenting philosophy. It happened kind of by accident, or I guess I should say that my son taught me to be an attachment parent.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Hick Hubby, for over 6 years now. We're best friends and share many common interests: travel, Thai food, reading, hiking, off-roading in the National Forest, and rating eachother's farts.

I also love knitting, riding my bike, and baking. All of which I've temporarily abandoned since the arrival of Happy Boy.

I guess that's all I have to say for now. I'm not sure what this blog is going to be, but I'll just keep talking to myself until some one joins the conversation.
